The crazy thing is that if U.S. soldiers were committing these exact same acts, the New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, WaPo, all of them would issue full throttled condemnations of genocide, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing. Israel occupies a bizarre fantasy world in our imagination.
How about, if you’re not a subject matter expert, particularly on int’l criminal law, you just refrain from opining on this matter in the NYTIMES?

Folks are acting like the problem here is that this is going to spark WWIII. The actual problems are the erosion of legal authorities surrounding use of force, nuclear material in the wild, and just a continuous drag on US resources bc this won’t solve anything.
