As long as the science gets done somewhere.
While the Trump regime continues dismantling scientific research in the US and inflicting damage that will take decades to repair (if ever), France and other EU countries are eager to benefit from our brain drain.

We wouldn’t mind a summer in Provence right about now…

5/ When there’s no clear roadmap for how to evaluate evidence, “do your own research” becomes a setup. People get flooded with low-quality, biased info—and never learn how to tell signal from noise.

NEW: The rate of sepsis in Houston surged 63% after Texas banned abortion.

More BS from non-scientists cosplaying at science
RFK Jr. is tasking scientists with finding "the cause" of autism—using Medicare and Medicaid data.
Yes, insurance billing records.
Let’s discuss why that’s preposterous. 🧵

The Trump-Supreme Court battle is not really the crisis.

The crisis is here now. Trump is enacting an insidious coordinated attack on our institutions of democratic accountability, designed to crater democracy before next fall.

RFK Jr’s comments about autistic people made a lot of folks feel like they had to list their accomplishments.

To prove the value of their life.

Your value doesn’t depend on being able to meet work requirements or write poetry.

It just is.

Don’t let these sick men make you question your worth.

The founders believed armed rebellion may be justified if:

– Elections are suspended or corrupted
- Courts are ignored or undermined
- Due process is violated
- Military force is used on citizens
- One branch (especially the executive) consolidates all power

Good reminder. Regardless of our health, mental, or emotional state, we shouldn’t have to justify our existence
Fun fact: autistic people don’t have to be exceptional or “useful” to deserve the right to exist and the right to dignity and respect, hope that helps.

Shoutout to my high needs autistic folks and my fellow low needs, we are rad no matter what the worm controlled ghoul says

My highly functional college educated autistic sister has been struggling with feeling “less than” her entire life.

Words do not adequately describe how effing offended we both are
And many are outright geniuses, and engage in more productive activity in an hour than RFK Jr. will in his entire life.
Everything about this is wrong. Most people with autism have jobs. Use toilets. Pay taxes. And Speak more clearly than this gravel-throated man.

Do not listen to anything RFK says about autism. Here are books and resources I highly recommend. As a clinical genetic counselor and researcher but mostly as a mom with an amazing autistic son (who thinks RFK is ableist and a eugenicist).
