Fun fact: autistic people don’t have to be exceptional or “useful” to deserve the right to exist and the right to dignity and respect, hope that helps.

As half my family is on the spectrum, I strongly concur
Do not listen to anything RFK says about autism. Here are books and resources I highly recommend. As a clinical genetic counselor and researcher but mostly as a mom with an amazing autistic son (who thinks RFK is ableist and a eugenicist).

Many medical supplies are manufactured outside of the US. I would buy additional KN95, N95 and KF94 masks now, as well as any medical supplies you regularly rely on. Even basics like bandages, Aquaphor, medicated lotion and pimple patches. Order that stuff asap.
