"28 Years Later" remains my favorite movie of 2025 (Ralph Fiennes should be WINNING awards!), so it thrills me to see a bunch of critics/writers I respect are loving "The Bone Temple." Looking forward to it!!

The Democratic Party really needs to break free from think tanks, lobbyists, etc. and listen to their actual constituents for once.

Voters are angry. Democrats would be unwise to ignore it because some centrists in D.C. don't like it.
ICE may be shooting people in the face, sending people to concentration camps, and illegally occupying our cities but, apparently, the Democrats think saying, "abolish ICE" is "emotional" and politically "lethal."

The Democratic base is pretty monolithic in their anger at ICE. And a majority of Independents have an unfavorable view of ICE. Democratic lawmakers need to get where their base is.

This YouGov poll on ICE is really eye-opening. Public opinion has really swung against DHS/ICE and their terror regime.

Sorry, but all of the negativity aimed at Boomers, Millennials, and Gen Z should be squarely aimed at Gen X. Buncha losers. And they wonder why everyone wants to forget their generation exists...
Some interesting stuff in the cross-tabs.

the most important thing in 2028 is electing someone who is a true believer in the project of dismantling right-wing power. if you don't get that, then nothing else will matter very much.

Pretty willd how the DOJ just straight up stopped releasing the Epstein files even though they're legally obligated to do so.

The national media, the ADL, corporate leaders, etc. are not revisiting their decisions about Musk now afaict. Musk is just allowed to be a very public Nazi accelerationist as well as a CSAM publisher without any mainstream scrutiny.
Every week is overwhelming evidence of what we saw with our own eyes, but which our credulous media was afraid to print: the Nazi salute was a Nazi salute
Yesterday Elon Musk retweeted "white solidarity is the only way to survive". In our numb overwhelmed media environment it barely made headlines that the world's richest man endorsed blood-curdling white nationalism. My brief writeup for @religiondispatches.org

people will say the framers never could have predicted this, but that's not true at all, they absolutely *did* expect someone like trump, they thought congress would *stop* him, and they thought they made that clear

Pamela Anderson SHOULD be a nominee in this category for "The Naked Gun"... just sayin'. #GoldenGlobes
January 12, 2026 at 2:19 AM
The category is silly at the Golden Globes because podcasts are not film or TV. But! "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" is legit really fun. Highly recommended. She really IS a good hang.

Glaser is great... but these announcers can go. #GoldenGlobes

I always feel bad for the nominees they sit nine miles away from the stage.

Although, Skarsgård winning with "Yeah!" in the background... only at the #GoldenGlobes. Lol.

Nikki Glaser is really, really good at this. They'd be smart to lock her in as a regular host. #GoldenGlobes

Yes, I need to unwind... so I'm very happy to have the #GoldenGlobes tonight.

I want to start "Heated Rivalry" but the online fanbase has kind of turned me off of it. An instantly toxic fandom - my god.

I legit love this. Lol. I don't live in NYC, but it's insane how hard it can be to find public bathrooms in various cities. It should be very, very easy to find one.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani and City Council Speaker Julie Menin on Saturday announced an initiative to install more public bathrooms across the city.

Post a pic of the venue you saw your first concert at, and the band or artist

Britney Spears - "Oops! I Did It Again Tour" (2000) at was then called the Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion.

The A*Teens were the openers. Haha.
