Couldn't agree more: "Every journalist and politician paying for a blue check mark on X is funding child porn and non-consensual porn of adult women"
For my newsletter this morning, I called for a ban on Grok after X, the child porn app formerly known as Twitter, started removing the clothes of women and girls in photos posted on the site. www.burnsnotice.com/grok-the-chi...

Every unconstitutional thing this administration does is bad, yes.
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

"Everything Trump touches must be bad according to the base," one House Dem told @axios.com

Said another: "It looks weak." www.axios.com/2026/01/04/m...

I see people lecturing others that @schumer.senate.gov & @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social cannot do much in the minority. But leadership doesn't end in what you can get through Congress. It's their refusal, inability to speak clearly about what is happening, defaulting to poll-tested messages that irk.

Trans people exist. In every culture and every society on the planet, and have done throughout recorded history. They are a natural part of the human condition and always will be because (spoiler alert!) they are born every day. They aren't an ideology, they are people.

Hate is an ideology though!
“This must be the year Britain finally kills off gay ideology”

“This must be the year Britain finally kills off disabled ideology”

“This must be the year Britain finally kills off black ideology”

…See how bigoted it sounds!?

Also note the radicalisation of Suzanne Moore via transphobia!

This is the type of thread that only gets written if you're unaware that the VA healthcare system already exists. Or that it provides healthcare for millions of Americans. Or that it consistently generates higher patient satisfaction numbers and better clinical outcomes than the private sector.
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

Doing things that voters agree with as a means of attracting votes? Sounds wise.
Some folks are saying—presumably accurately—that Stevens is only doing this to help her in the Senate primary.

I don't see why that's a problem.

COVID myths are foundational to modern fascism.

Stuff like the lab leak BS or the idea that we “overreacted” to the pandemic, or the claim that dissent was “censored” by the “biomedical security state,” are narrative pillars holding up the fascists’ bizarro, contradictory worldview.

Understand?

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

I can’t be the only one who just straight up isn’t interested in incorporating anything we learn from synthetic “social” science experiments conducted on LLM facsimiles of human text because I simply don’t think the epistemology of it has any bearing on the world, regardless of any similarity
LLMs are now widely used in social science as stand-ins for humans—assuming they can produce realistic, human-like text

But... can they? We don’t actually know.

In our new study, we develop a Computational Turing Test.

And our findings are striking:
LLMs may be far less human-like than we think.🧵
