As I said on the show today, the entire story of Epstein are people who already had power and money deciding that what they needed was what Epstein had (young women and girls) and then Epstein using what he had (young women and girls) to get stuff for other people.

The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

I feel like if white people within the United States understood that this nation only exists so that sex trafficking could take place without restriction and for PROFIT, then they wouldn't be so shocked that recent administrations worked with and protected an extensive and powerful sex trafficker.

When you’re asked to explain lawless actions.

Every cabinet Secy is just making it up as they go along w/the sole goal of doing Trump’s will, leaving the next cabinet member to stumble around trying to make lawlessness make sense.
If you want to FINALLY watch Scott Bessent get pinned down on specifics about the illegal money laundering operation being conducted by the Trump admin from someone who knows WTF he’s talking about, this clip is your chance. Bessent gets destroyed.

1. A reminder: Walmart's $1 trillion valuation is the product of decades of unchecked anticompetitive behavior. It's no coincidence that Walmart began its insane growth spurt after the 1980s decision to stop enforcing key antitrust laws. More than others, Walmart recognized what this meant.

In 203 markets, Walmart controls 50% or more of the grocery market. No other corporation has ever amassed this much control over the food system.

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

Some years ago, I was chatting with a Retropolis reader, a young history student, and I mentioned there were several dozen people enslaved in New Jersey up until the day the 13th Amendment kicked in in December 1865.

Y’all. He identified every one of them.

In Tennessee, fights over books could expand from school libraries to public libraries.

"If a new bill passes in Tennessee’s legislature, anyone who lives in a county could ask their local library board to remove a book. The board would then decide whether to keep the book, move it, or ban it."

one of the core values of the US Republican Party is tolerance and (sometimes celebration of) sexual violence. you don't elect a rapist to hold rapists accountable.
One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

Cam Newton is a perfect example of arrested development. Shannon Sharpe is another example of a grown ass man in that same category. Both are cautionary tales I think Black men need to learn from to avoid going that same way. Way too old to be saying and doing the shit they’re doing
The viral clip of Cam Newton saying he can't have platonic relationships and the men in the comments agreeing with him is unsettling. They don't know how barbaric and immature they sound. Embarrassing.

This is one of the most important cases that galvanized Black people in the late 40s through the 1950s. Almost every major Black leader had a comment about it. It is also one of the most successful defense committees that was organized in the 20th century. Almost no one knows about it today.
On this day in 1948, an all-white jury sentenced a Black woman and two of her teenage sons to death for killing an armed white man in self-defense.

It’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.

A civil lawsuit alleges he sexually assaulted hundreds of children in state juvenile facilities in the 1980s and 90s. Kids who were supposed to be protected. Kids who had no power. The abuse went on for years.
