My main take away of the Deepseek paper is not scientific but organizational: we need an European industrial plan in AI right now. No safety summit, no peppered compute grants, no funding processes that take two years.

Goodreads for arXiv papers💡

What if instead of arbitrary algorithms and tweets, arXiv papers were curated by your research community?

Realising my way of writing is akin to Penn and Teller's approach to magic; "Magic is just someone spending more time on something than anyone else might reasonably expect."

My unique advantage / fatal flaw is sinking absurd hours into researching & writing things no one else would ever write about

Claude (an LLM) is teaching me photography! I upload a photo and it talks to me about leading lines, natural framing, atmospheric lighting, gives useful scores and suggests practical improvements! As a poorly-motivated novice, there is no way I would ever have learned this stuff without AI.

Every time I read "deadjectival", I can't help but break it down into "dead" and "jectival"… This is where you'd need a hyphen.

(actually, I'm in favour of pronouncing it /ˌdɛdʒɪkˈtaɪvəl/ and even shortening it to 💀jectival)

Hugging Face empowers everyone to use AI to create value and is against monopolization of AI it's a hosting platform above all.
