Fig showed up as a kitten at my sister's window in the third year of the pandemic and refused to leave, with a fully-formed "Ok, I'm here now" attitude. She didn't get along with the two resident cats so became the semi-barn cat. She exists in a quantum state of extreme stupidity and intelligence.

I asked my dad why he has such a high chilly tolerance & he told me when he was a kid they used to make him eat a chilly as punishment if he used bad words & at some point he realized he really liked chillies & so would look up bad words so he'd get more and this is why children cannot be defeated

OK I’ve been thinking a lot about Oasis tickets and I think the only fair thing is an over-45s pre-sale. Once our arthritic fingers and failing eyesight have entered our credit card numbers for a nice seat THEN people who only know Winona Ryder as the protagonist’s Mom can join in

Just over a week ago I decided to scale back on X and try to start again elsewhere. So far I’m finding Bluesky pretty good - a good number of folks are here and it’s a much nicer place. Also been trying threads but the engagement is lower and it’s really algorithmy. Looking like I’m sticking here!

BREAKING: Workers at Stone Brewing Co.'s facility in Richmond VA are unionizing with Teamsters Local 322. ~90 workers in the proposed unit in a wall-to-wall drive across the brewhouse and nearby warehouse, owned by Sapporo since 2022. I'm told around 70% of workers have signed cards. Story TK.
