One fire starts from poorly maintained and falling apart privatized electric grid. The other fire starts from the machine that is further taxing the grid to do plagiarism and make people lose touch with reality. The city and county of Los Angeles needs to sue both of these fuckers into oblivion.

New: the federal government has dropped its case against Ray Collins and Jocelyne Robledo, a couple who had faced felony charges for allegedly assaulting federal agents during a protest outside the Broadview ICE facility on Sept. 27.

The govt moved to drop its complaint against them this morning.

By the way, evictions happen at the county level. The Cook County Sheriff handles those, not CPD.

Evication is a legal procedure that involves due process for the tenant. Chicago has some of the strongest renter protection laws in the US. Evictions take at a bare minimum, 3 months unless the tenants willingly leave. Evicting 130 units would be a very long and expensive process.
