Chris Van Hollen is in the senate, being exemplary, because he got frustrated waiting for House leadership opportunities to open up. what was left behind were the people willing to wait and work for 'their turn' and these are not leaders

sometimes people take specific Dems doing dumb things as a pretext to impugn all of liberalism but I really do think this points to a crisis of principles in the mid-to-upper levels of the caucus

We can't stop being the Mom Party, and any attempt will be read as false, but if the Republicans are becoming the Divorced Dad Party, maybe we can become the Strong Single Mom Party.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

There is no pile of gold that we can take to have universal healthcare without having to increase taxes generally, no. But there *is* a loaded fucking gun we need to take out of their hands, yeah.
It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

I don't think Democrats want to go to war with Venezuela. I am considerably less sure they are communicating that to normies, and in the absence of that, I find purity critiques of the anti-war coalition actually *doing things* really insulting.
