BIG WIN: A court ordered the Trump Education Department to reinstate the civil rights workers they fired.

I taught kids with disabilities––the kind of students helped by these workers. Every child deserves to be treated fairly.

I’m staying in this fight for our kids.

Yay! 2025 @britgrad.bsky.social - telling a story about 2018 @theshakesforum.bsky.social me, using a 2020 TTF pic of me - arguing for the inclusion of bespoke interpolations into Shakespeare’s text (e.g., maybe Isabella needs better words and that’s okay?).

It’s wonderful to wake up from a deep night of REM, but it also means sorting out your dreams. Such as: wait, no, you didn’t see a monarch butterfly evolve out of a sword, and then turn into a spaceship and fly off into the sky. 1/2

Thrilled and honored that Open Window Theatre is doing my Christmas Carol for a third year in St. Paul/Minneapolis. They’re adding 10 more shows this year (yay!). And apparently last year the show was 90% sold out BEFORE IT OPENED. They do a great job. Get yer tix early! openwindowtheatre.org

Help a PhD folks. WHY is a point 0-dimension? Isn’t a point literally the bare minimum of being?

Earlier today ICE agents hit someone with a car and tear gassed a neighborhood, sparking several fires and disrupting businesses.

Immigrants, by contrast, did not.
ICE is a much greater threat to this country than illegal immigrants. The current administration ia by far the greatest threat this country faces. The problem is not st our borders. It is in the White House.

My dad, who has lived under a dictatorship, knows one when he sees one. His first text this morning is that we are now officially in a dictatorship. It is all pretty grim.

As I said in yesterday's post - some companies, like Klarna, that laid off a lot of people for AI are now rehiring them.

And that's customer service, which is a relatively routine administrative job compared to others.
Basically most ‘AI will take your job’ stuff fundamentally misunderstand what ‘your job’ actually involves or where people add value. It’s the same as people who think a software engineer ‘generates code’ or a writer ‘generates lots of words’.
The copywriter brief for AI is hilarious. He wouldn’t ask it to create ‘good copy’ cause that’s too vague. But would ask it to create a ‘lead magnet’ and ‘complete landing page’.

This is someone who has no idea how much creativity goes into creating content for a website or marketing campaign.

Happy Pride! It’s been a long journey to get here. I’ve been lucky bc I was among so many others further along than I on the rainbow, so my little shifts in pronouns or preferences were barely ripples to the ppl who surrounded me. I wish everyone out joy in this month. I wish everyone in: liberty. 🏳️‍🌈

Ohmigosh, you guys.

This is seismic.

(Or I’ve been awake too long. But I think it’s seismic.)

It’s beautiful in DC right now. Peak bloom from the cherry blossoms and petals drift by wherever you walk, blown in from some distant or nearby tree.

When I first transitioned, they were blooming, years ago.

So we could lose $200B in tourism, $100B in immigrants paying taxes, $100B in weapons manufacturing, $500B in lost tax revenue from firing IRS employees… is it sinking in yet?
International tourism is worth $200 billion every year to the US economy.

Sorry, *was.

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.
