One of the best student projects I ever supervised was about how data science had changed sports coaching and educational training. I pushed the student to also think about how players unions might respond and we ended up in some interesting places!
Now look. Chris told me about moneyball and one of the baseball teams (I don't do baseball, maybe Oakland?). And I asked how many world series they won. He said zero. Y'all wrote all these books and movies and they didn't even win?! Weirdos.
