We've been treading water the last two years, with my hours only part time from surgery, disabilities, and immune flares.

Personally, I'm quite fond of the bright red on orange look of the painted spider lilies mounted with their rafts intact. Yeah, we kept it on! TPU raft turns out a lot like fabric, and we used it for the "weld" onto the mask, like clay with slip.

So I'm gonna make myself an autumn mask from this :3

I absolutely recommend the Tinmorry transparent 95A TPU. I've tested orange and yellow so far. They MUST be actively drying and slow speed to adhere right, otherwise they string. Smoother finish with .6 nozzle, this is .4.

The Geeetech LOOKS lovely but is picky and brittle, both on spool & printed.

This is for Ryu's school assignment. He had to design a character, mask, & write their story. He went with a tragedy.

I printed the parts (credits 👇) & handled soldering, repairs & hinge peg build-out. Concept & paint by Ryu. It started off too cheerful so it's Grunge now! #3DPrint #EnberFam

Later photos show the orange covered in a grungy mauve gradient, similar grunge wash over the petals making them darker. The lips are roughed out in black and dirty mauve, the long joints of the jaw, and eyes, bleeding a washed out black. A mauve-tinted black triangle is under the right eye, and nearly washed away on the left, as if by rain or tears.

Ryu, wearing the mask, is a tall young teen with close cropped natural curls and light brown skin. He is glaring from the eyes of the mask, looking quite sinister as his mom takes photos.

The main reason I haven't cosplayed the last 5+ years is due to my health. In this time, I've had 4 surgeries, hundreds of doctor visits & dozens of treatments. While my health has been deteriorating. I miss it a lot. And hope someday I can do it again!

The infill is So Sparkly on this TPU. I love it so.

Next phase of Ryu's mask for his school project is the decorations. It'll be a white Drama type mask with red spider lilies. I don't have any red anything, so we're using the TPU. It's flexible and will conform without snapping.

Highland cattle are famous for their ability to "disco nap". Normally these brief, efficient sleeps will last between three and twenty minutes, deploying a variety of objects as pillows, including moorland boulders, cars or any particularly large dog or sheep who happens to be nearby.
