The thing about 🇮🇱/🇵🇸 discourse is that it's so formalized and stylized and rote that it's very easy for people from outside the normal bounds to make mistakes like assume that "supporting a two-state solution" entails opposing the Occupation or that it should involve some kind of action or process.
People have been discussing Tim Kaine's strangely pro-Palestine stance, and I was surprised to see him pop up in this 2014 New Yorker article about the Gaza War questioning AIPAC's president Robert Cohen over whether Israel was headed to a one-state solution only to get yelled at by Schumer.
