This administration is a propaganda factory wrapped around a criminal enterprise
Remembering how the media reported that the Trump campaign not only denied intent to follow Project 2025, but insisted that anyone associated would be barred from the administration.

@politico.com had a big piece about it.
President Trump says he is meeting today with Russ Vought, OMB director and "of PROJECT 2025 Fame," to discuss cuts to "Democrat Agencies."

Oh, what the fuck?!? All my published academic papers are in here. Somehow when I heard, “authors,” I forgot about myself and academic work.
Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

When I was in graduate school, I couldn’t believe how haughty the researchers I worked with were. They couldn’t imagine why the public didn’t know what they knew! And at that point, I decided I was going to do everything I could to bring the knowledge from the university to the general public.

The real issue isn’t left vs right.

It’s not white vs black.

It’s not citizen vs immigrant.

It’s not gay vs straight.

The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.

I don’t think today’s ruling changes that calculus a whole lot. They punted the constitutionality back to the lower courts.

If the lower courts rule Trump’s EO unconstitutional and SCOTUS overturns THAT, then we have a major problem.

But we aren’t there yet.

When I started grad school three decades ago, we thought climate change was a future problem. Now it’s clear that the future is here.

Even if people don’t care that those who’ve contributed the least to causing climate change suffer the most from it, they should care about fixing it for themselves.

🔥NEW: Trump began mass layoffs of 10,000 staffers at U.S. health agencies, including the FDA, CDC, & NIH.

So how are we supposed to respond to health emergencies, such as the ongoing measles outbreak & spreading bird flu when they've ousted top scientists ..

Himes: This is his life now. He’s nowhere near qualified for the position he holds, so when he gets on a Signal chat with his buddies and says, ‘We’re a go. Centcom says all in. F-18s,’ it just makes him feel really, really good.

Sadly, of course, it puts our people at risk.

Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?

The Trumpers say “jump” and too many NIH employees are now saying “How High?!”

Delay. Slow. Drag your feet. Make mistakes. Throw wrenches in the works as much as you can until the protests have time to build.

The general vibe we are getting across #NIH institutes is deeply bleak — that the agency is nearly, if not already dead.

Top people are leaving or have left. Nearly everyone's looking for other jobs. People still care about what NIH was, but are growing resigned to its death.

This is what the media should be doing.
Ask a Q.
Lies returning.
INTERRUPT!
Ask for receipts to the lies.
Or install a mute button and use it while showing the obvious evidence proving what they just said WAS A LIE.
Then, unmute them and witness the embarrassing continued lying.

This is also what we are hearing inside NIH.

The top leadership of each institute, and the NIH Director's office have all been fighting to retain probationary employees — and re-hire those terminated due to the renewal ban.

It's the HHS/DOGE/Musk people who are saying no. 🧪
The notice is here. The complaint has an extraordinary transcript of a meeting within NSF where the leadership said that the firings of probationary employees were mandatory and their efforts to retain the employees were overridden. Alsup clearly noticed. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
