The Democrats have not only managed to prevent anti-trans provisions in key parts of the budget, they also managed to go back and strip them *out* of earlier parts. That alone should put a sock in any equivocating between the parties on a really key social issue that pundits hate!

If anything, I think it's odd how much *less* I heard about people being arrested at protests until recently, vs. under W. It seemed really common back then. Maybe it was a perception thing. But getting arrested temporarily and let go seemed like an expectation.

I know Tulsa is an urban center, but -- possibly my favorite thing about that show The Lowdown is that we see multiple people in various states of gender nonconformity being treated completely normally in Oklahoma.
I suspect it’s a goal for these ghouls to make LGBTQ people feel besieged and isolated and friendless outside urban centers
