There are ways to do in-class essays and exams that lock you to the typing window and stop you from copy-pasting from other sources without relying on old blue books. It works fine too as a system. Unsure why that’d be a big deal?
Does anyone else bristle at this framing? WSJ says blue books are “torturing” students with hand cramps, and “nobody likes them.”

why I am still texting the surviving 10 from the online dating scourge. says he was in a car accident and lost his parents. I’m 85% positive this is a romance scam, but I’m cognizant of my cynicism & I try to behave nicely—more than I can say for the majority of the online dating population.

I have not been able to write about lived experiences. What I've been able to do is write around those themes I've lived.
I had to abandon writing my memoir several times, because many memories are suppressed, so when I tap into a memory one comes up I've buried for decades, and I relive it again.

So, writing is therapeutic, yes, but I do recommend people consider their emotions when writing about traumatic events, how do they feel in their body, is writing about something from the past causing present life disturbances? Does this feel like catharsis? Or are you reliving it and causing pain?
