When countless cities are suffering from a massive housing shortage, keeping existing urban golf courses in place is indefensible.

Seen here, the hole-in-one is transformed into housing, with the next phase of denser development on the right side set to begin in 2026.

Car culture will loudly defend car infrastructure everywhere, claiming that it's the only thing that can enable people with mobility challenges.

We know that's a lie.
Deux usages différents de la trottinette électrique. Je me demande si le député évoquant leur immatriculation obligatoire est au courant de leur usage par les personnes en fauteuil.

It's mind boggling that even after a global pandemic, my wife and I find ourselves to be the only masked people when inside a healthcare facility...you know...where sick people tend to congregate.

I have better things to do with my time than unnecessarily become sick.

You know that post btw a car’s windshield and side window? It’s called an A-pillar – and it’s becoming a problem.

A-pillars are expanding, enlarging driver blind zones and concealing pedestrians at crosswalks.

Blame car bloat, as well as ill-conceived federal rules.

Me, in Bloomberg 🧵
Why Did Cars Get So Hard to See Out Of?
If it seems like forward visibility has gotten worse, you’re right: Since the 1990s, cars and trucks have grown bigger A-pillars that can create dangerous blind spots.

Big Box retail is car-centric sprawl that wipes out small business, hollows out Main Streets, and leaves cities with giant dead shells. Every town ends up looking like nowhere.

This. I regularly see apples being covered in regular stickers at my local health store. You know the ones that used to be on each and every can of food? I have my doubt it's food safe adhesive under there.
I'm just glad they're legally required to use food safe adhesive

🧵 In Canada, migrants sustain our communities and most essential systems. And yet, they are being scapegoated for crises that are caused by corporate greed and government inaction. Let’s get into it.
