both parties are more vulnerable right now to a hostile internal takeover than at any time in the past. the problem w dems is theyve convinced people we must defer to their genius leadership and every time they lead us off a cliff.
“Rather than taking over the Democratic Party the same way the right took over the Republican Party, we should take the easier route and just start up a new party ourselves!”

I’m about to fill my pockets with stones and walk into the sea.

This is what a bunch of Democrats in the Senate just voted for:
"The provision, tucked into a measure to fund the legislative branch, appears to immediately allow for eight GOP senators to sue over their phone records being seized in the course of the investigation by Jack Smith ... into the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021." www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...
Spending Bill Would Pave Way for Senators to Sue Over Phone Searches
Republicans have voiced outrage that Jack Smith looked at G.O.P. lawmakers’ phone records surrounding the Jan. 6 attack. Legislation to reopen the government would allow them to sue for $500,000 each.

Here’s the ugly truth.

The big insurance companies, and their buddies in the Republican Party, have been gunning for the ACA from day one. Why? Because it cut into their profits.

I'm guessing the 8 Democratic Cavers (with Chuck Schumer hiding safely behind them with his fake "no" vote) have been working on their cave since before Tuesday's election. But even after that, they still wouldn't open their cavey caverson cowardly eyes.

JFC. Does @schumer.senate.gov not get that by caving, Democrats make it *harder,* not easier, to make the ACA subsidies expiring stick politically to Trump/GOP? This effort to shame Republicans in this context risks signaling to low-info voters that Rs are standing on conviction and Dems aren't.

Should be a huge news story. Again, why is Maxwell getting special treatment? Why is she in a minimum security camp? How come Trump didnt rule out a pardon?

Campaigns LOVE recurring donations. When a bunch of people stop them, that goes up the chain.

Every single Senate Dem needs to understand there will be consequences for caving. They are enabling Chuck Schumer by staying silent. If they won't hold Chuck accountable, we'll hold them accountable.

Today is a great day to make sure you cancel ANY recurring donation to ANY sitting Democratic senator and especially to ANY of the party committees.

Yes, they will notice. Yes, they should all be afraid. Send a signal that they'll be held collectively responsible for this utter betrayal. 🧵

Senators know that Schumer is responsible for the deal--the nominal 8 did NOT go rogue.

Plugged in advocacy group leaders know Schumer is responsible for the cave.

Hill journalists know it.

Only trust voices who know that Schumer stage managed the cave.

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president.

The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

The Dems failed to stand by their word. At the start, they said they refused to keep the gov't open until the regime faced the reality of premiums for 24M ppl doubling, tripling or quadrupling. They said negotiate first, then vote to reopen the gov't. Turns out eight of them didn’t really mean it.

Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".

But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.
