Today's small win is that it's the first time since last Nov my mom has commented on one of my "The current administration is bad and irredeemable and here's more proof of it" Facebook posts saying she agrees with me!

The higher ups at work when they added in an AI chatbot and the first feature they added was roasting -_- I'm so glad they stopped doing active development on that project so I don't need to test it anymore.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Here’s a story for every national news outlet:

In N.C., churchgoers are literally running into the woods as federal agents descend on the property.

“Inside the church, women and children sobbed as they wondered whether their loved ones had been taken.”

Fun fact: Placing an orange traffic cone on the hood of Waymo vehicles makes them stop where they are and they will not move until the cone is removed... Only saying this so that people know what not to do when they see a robo car driving by... Yeah...
Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.

Please Look After Mom by Kyung-sook Shin. The first book I've ever read where upon finishing I had to just sit in silence for a while before picking up the phone to tell people about it. 2nd person POV shines in it.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"
