Tonally all over the place. Might have benefited from picking a setting for the crazy dial and then leaving it alone. I suspect it worked better as a manga. Still, inoffensively diverting.

I'm reliably informed that Welcome to Derry is actually worthwhile so I rewatched these in preparation. It's nicely done. Strong cast. Super gross when it needs to be. He doesn't sound that much like Winnie-the-Pooh. Very Stephen King.

I'm reliably informed that Welcome to Derry is actually worthwhile so I rewatched these in preparation. It's nicely done. Strong cast. Super gross when it needs to be. He doesn't sound that much like Winnie-the-Pooh. Very Stephen King.

Ethan Hawke is a dude 👌🏻
Tim Key and Tom Basden are so good at writing for themselves/each other, which is a large part of why this works as well as it does. It's very sweet, the songs are lovely, and it avoids being as cliché or trite as it could be.
