I’m not as down on the MCU as other people are but I also wasn’t as high on it pre-Endgame. For me it’s always been hit and miss and that hasn’t changed. But yeah I really don’t want to see Avengers Doomsday.

So do the police 💁🏻‍♂️
Abolish ICE and “defund the police” are nowhere near the same thing. Don’t conflate the two.

That said, ICE needs to go‼️

I welcome lawmakers voicing regrets about votes they’ve taken but it’s a tough pill to swallow. Because you can’t say people weren’t saying this about the Laken Riley Act when it came up for a vote.
Rep. April McClain Delaney is disavowing her January vote in support of a law that requires federal law enforcement to detain undocumented immigrants accused — but not convicted — of certain crimes.

gop lite is consistently the dumbest thing the democratic party does. consistently. on foreign policy, on spending, on immigration. its never the right way. but the party is addicted to it.
A lot of Democrats voted for the Laken Riley Act, despite it basically being unenforceable and on the surface raising constitutional questions, because they feared a permanent realignment on immigration. The shifting public approval on immigration shows that wasn't the case

Leaders of the Democratic Party rarely talk about how corrupt the media is. That needs to change (mostly by changing who the leaders of the party are).

Disney is fumbling the Star Wars and Marvel franchises so badly. 🤷
They have billions of dollars and still can’t develop any good stories. ✍️ 📚
AI should replace everything and everyone because humans have become useless and deserve to lose the planet to robots, at the writing will be better. 🌎 🤖 🎥

Congress’s three favorite lines:
1. Sorry we can’t do anything, we’re in the minority
2. Sorry we can’t do anything, we need a supermajority
3. Sorry we can’t do anything, our party’s in the White House and we have to support the president

Why did y’all confirm any of his cabinet nominees? That’s my question.
Trump is targeting Colorado because we won’t bow to his demands. @michaelbennet.bsky.social and I are blocking a Senate funding package until NCAR’s funding is protected.

Today, we joined the protests in Boulder to stand up with the community and scientists against Trump’s rampage.

I, a lifelong Democrat, am calling for the resignation of Ken Martin as DNC chair RIGHT NOW!

He has no vision, no leadership capability, no communications skills & no integrity. His reneging on the promise to release the results of the 2024 post-morten report is the last straw

Dems may be winning

The thing is @mattyglesias.bsky.social sucks
matt & co’s theory of how public opinion on immigration would respond to new information was simply empirically wrong.
at this point the only reasonable conclusion is they refuse to update their priors w/ new data because the data is inconvenient for them

BREAKING: The Democratic National Committee will NOT release its long-awaited autopsy on Trump's 2024 win. The report is completed but Dem leaders decided it could distract from their winning streak, so it will remain secret. Not good.

I have soured on every Disney Star Wars motion picture with the exception of <gasp> The Last Jedi. It’s crazy that The Force Awakens came out 10 years ago. It’s a movie that is very effective at introducing the new ensemble (Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren). The rest of it, I don’t think is very good
