Loving video games new & old, big & small - but not "good" at games.

I talk about games, why they're important, their art, how they play, & make jokes along the way.

Don't get the free harry potter game from epic! While free for you, it still will give money and "proof of interest" in hp to people who actively want to kill Trans people, and no free game is worth that!

I have so many new episodes recorded! I've played a ton of new/upcoming indies games recently and have been having a blast, and also revisted some old favorites and games I missed. Very excited to get them posted!

Not we won an award. Congrats to the team. Loved working in Midnight and bringing that authenticity and representation to the South and Black stories.

This is an awesome list that definitely has a bunch on it that I'm adding to my wishlist/to-play list!

Take a look if you're looking for an indie game to try!
Okay, I'll make a thread of 50 indie games which I'll add to over the week, staring with.

1. Carimara

Play as a little goblin creature summoned by a witch to investigate what's haunting her cottage, it's a creepy bite-size mystery akin to the Frog Detective games, and has gorgeous visuals.

We had an Overwhelmingly Positive score on Steam, then these two reviews rolled in

Why does Valve allow this?

i take frenzy damage every time i see someone go "well i just use it for the boring stuff". what are you TALKING about? if it's boring or unimportant, why are you putting it in? NPC dialogue is fertile ground for worldbuilding, creating verisimilitude, conveying important information, and hijinks!!
Buy a solo indie dev's game because I want to support them.

Find out it uses OpenAI to write "non-important NPC dialogue".

This is quite exciting, a Linux centered ecosystem that is easy to pick and play, already runs Windows games, no need to stay in front of the computer after work hours for playing pc and indie games. Whatever price they charge will be the “yay or nay” factor I guess.

I think people who pretend not being able to go out during COVID gave them PTSD should shut the fuck up. I have actual doctor-diagnosed PTSD, and I've lived in almost total isolation since 2019. No pets, no family. Just me. And I'm physically disabled on top of that.

So GTA6 got delayed again, until Nov 2026, that’s fine. But at this point I imagine the team is already in crunch mode, which means it’s another year on that. I don’t imagine they’ll go “we got another year slow down”, there’s been a couple delays.
