It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

As a proud Queenslander, I wonder WTF is wrong with these people? The Brisbane I returned to a few years ago is much better than it was when I left in the 90s, and this is BECAUSE it is more accepting of diversity and is no longer overtly racist. This Brisbanite does not condone this behaviour.
It didn't take long in Brisbane for it to descend into "send them home", "this is Australia, fuck off" & "if you hate us fuck off, you traitors".

Then, get involved in the Democratic party and make sure your friends with trans kids know that you are there fighting internally for their kids' rights and lives. The existential threat to trans kids and trans people is real. There is no greater fear than the fear of losing your children.
Thanks, TT. I have a number of friends with trans kids, and I keep saying the same. Newsom isn't an angel, but he's the only one willing to take on Trump, and Trump and his thugs a far bigger issue right now.

Would be great to have access to the Epstein files. But let’s not forget the files are a secondary source of information about Epstein’s paedophile ring. There are plenty of primary sources available - the women who were Epstein and his associate’s victims. Why don’t we just listen AND BELIEVE them?

I’m confused: did a memo go out this week saying it’s finally okay for politicians and the press to be outraged that Israel is starving Palestinians?
If so, I didn’t see the memo. But I did see the evidence of this war crime back in late 2023.
Where are we at? Starving is bad, bombing is ok?
