In the 80s, my dad was on the crew of the HMS Endurance (the second one) taking the Scott Polar Research Institute staff to Antarctica. For some reason, there were also some American tourists on board. The ship was passing a huge gathering of penguins on the ice. Everyone came up on deck to look...
