Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

In short, I wish it was easier to create opportunities for the sake of the greater good. For science education and for bringing art into that process. I'm grateful as hell that I can put together the projects I'm able to get off the ground, and exhausted by the immensity of our collective problems.

This is a legitimately good idea. Studies show that heavy metal fans tend to be the least angry people. Presumably because their brains experience anger a lot, but in safe, controlled, voluntary ways, so they have a lot more practice dealing with it, but fewer upsetting incidents that triggered it.

Sarah Kendzior was jokingly paraphrasing a Johnny Cash lyric in reaction to an article about Johnny Cash, but I understand how this could be viewed as violating TOS.

Nonetheless, between this and misreading the meme that got Link suspended, @safety.bsky.app has work to do on contextualization.
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2
