Trump is a warning. From Chile to France, Spain to the UK, far right forces are winning elections or look likely to take power. They are passionate about accelerating fossil fuel emissions. In essence an electorally potent suicide lobby. How do we challenge them strategically and precisely?

by far the funniest use case for AI is “I use it for powerpoints because I hate making them and nobody looks at them” because it kinda sounds like the real workflow savings would be to stop making powerpoints

This is gaslighting. OpenAI and Anthropic are selling business software by conning people into paying them service contracts to work out how to make their software work. Also apparently you can’t “solve billion dollar problems” with AI now? Good stuff

Donald Trump has made it his explicit policy to interfere in European politics and ‘cultivate resistance’ in the UK and elsewhere.

The government should include the US administration in the scope of its investigation.

They theoretically exist.

And they're dark.

And that matters.

Labour are launching an investigation into historical foreign interference in UK politics. But they are explicitly excluding the Brexit referendum from the investigation.

That's like pledging to investigate instances of arson while ignoring the wall of flames spanning the horizon.

Politicians and media moguls persuaded people to vote for the stupid, self harming, isolationist option with Brexit. Don’t underestimate the levels of stupidity we are capable of repeating.
"If we're really concerned about criminals in this country, leaving the ECHR would be exactly like Brexit, in that it would have the opposite effect" - European Movement UK Chair, Dr Mike Galsworthy, on Keir Starmer's calls to reform the ECHR.

Starmer has chosen to mark it by... kicking off negotiations on how to water down our human rights 🤯

European nations to begin major talks on ECHR migration rule changes
The talks are the most significant sign yet that international human rights law could be reinterpreted.

Somehow I missed this recirculation a few days ago of the Alan Sked interview. Farage wanting BNP candidates for UKIP and cheerily using the N word.
Keep up the pressure on exposing this out-and-out racism in Reform.
As for Farage’s use of racist slurs being confined to his childhood - well, that's not what Alan Sked, the founder of UKIP, claimed in this 2014 interview.

He says here that Farage was using the "n" word as late as 1997.

Farage would have been about 33 at time.

Mason declares that in his judgement we have been misled by Rachel Reeves.

It feels unprecedented that the BBC has made a "call" on a story, and is something that was absent throughout the terms of notorious liars such as Johnson.

There were certainly no "calls" about Brexit lies.
