I still get a chuckle thinking about the Canadian right wing protester complaining to a Canadian judge about how this was all a violation of his first amendment rights and the judge was like "what first amendment?"
It's so funny when Polish rightwingers desperately try to make the war on Christmas a thing in Poland, given that the traditional "merry Christmas" in Polish literally translates as "happy holidays".

The Supreme Court rejected the federal government’s request to deploy the National Guard in Illinois.

It’s time to let our troops go home to celebrate the holidays with their families — and stay home.

Anti-trans demagogue and fifth place swimmer Riley Gaines earned $470,000+ last year from a conservative non-profit.

Notably, $420k was incentive-based.

A neat little window into the way the transphobic grift is being compensated.

I wonder what the per-post rate is?

The rest of the debate is:
Kavanaugh: We should make it easier for him to send the Army
Alito/Thomas: Trump can do whatever he wants because he said so.
Gorsuch: I don't like using the Shadow Docket when I lose, I only like using it when I win.

My summary of Trump's loss in the National Guard case: If Trump wants to attack chicago, he's gotta send the Army *first* then say that the Army can't get it done... but first he has to prove that the Army is allowed to go in, without violating Posse Comitatus.

Damn. It's true. Thank you to the chronically underpaid hospice professionals and (unpaid) volunteers who do this work every day.

Cancelled 60 Minutes segment on CECOT aired in Canada. They must’ve pulled it at the very last minute because the satellite feed already went out.
Segment is recorded by a phone off of the TV screen.

When Bari Weiss wrote about the national crisis of “woke private schools,” all of her sources were anonymous students, parents, and teachers who agreed with her premise—and she ran the story without getting a school on the record, for “context.”

While we stand by the reporting in our 60 Minutes piece about El Salvador's CECOT mega-prison, it was missing crucial information—specifically about how woke campus protestors would benefit from a few weeks there to see how good they have it.

In the summer of 1950 most US newspapers ran an AP story about how race had become the main issue in the upcoming Georgia governor's race. Segregationist Herman Tallmadge, governor from '47 to '55 and then a Senator until 1981 made a name for himself by refusing to "apologize for being a white man."
