I have grown to appreciate that a significant part of the WW2/SWW impact was the transition from war to peace. Books like Lowe's Savage Continent helped me realize it's more than flipping a switch.

Dower's book is my current guide to the post-war transition in Japan.

Remember when Trump’s sons announced a made-in-the-USA smartphone and a new wireless service, Trump Mobile?

Three months later, the phone’s ship date keeps getting delayed with no explanation — although the company continues to collect $100 deposits.

The grift never ends.
The Trump Mobile phone is nowhere to be found after months of delay
Trump Mobile has posted conflicting photos of the phone and scrubbed mention of its “Made in the USA” promise.

I found something fascinating in Paul Stillwell's biography of Willis Lee. As part of his training, Lee had a training cruise on Farragut's Civil War flagship, Hartford.

Some of his classmates had the opportunity to do a training cruise on Dewey's flagship Olympia.

One day it struck me that the Persian Empire fought the ancient Greeks, Rome, and Byzantine Empire - that's an extensive run - so I'm looking to learn more about the early Persian Empire.

I have limited knowledge of Longstreet's Knoxville campaign, so I'm appreciating having Earl Hess as my guide.

As an added bonus, I purchased this book from a museum bookstore, so helping to support a good cause.

As an added bonus, it was signed by the author.

Now, they have the depth that can sustain an injury or two and the talent to protect the QB:
