If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Pet parrots were taught to do video calls, and it was a hit.

The birds not only made friends with each other, and selected who they wanted to call and when, but also picked up new skills from fellow parrots.
Good enrichment option for improving captive parrot welfare.

Toxicologist here! This will improve the health of zero Americans. Current synthetic food dyes are not causing health problems, and are often times used because they are actually safer than natural food dyes. Reminder that guns are the #1 cause of death of children but we are going to ban food dyes.
BREAKING: The FDA has officially announced they will be banning artificial dyes in the food supply by the end of 2026

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

Breaking: RFK Jr. has forced out PETER MARKS, the nation’s top vaccine regulator.

In his resignation letter, obtained by the Post, Marks said he was willing to work with RFK Jr on his vaccine concerns — but said Kennedy wishes “subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies.”

One thing I'm fucken sick of hearing is that people on the poverty line "don't want handouts."

Well, the rich take hand outs. Maybe they're rich bc they were offered handouts. Maybe they're rich bc they take them.

This "shame in receiving free money" for the poor but not the rich makes me SO MAD

Rep. Zooey Zephyr - My Wife - just gave an incredible speech against a drag ban in Montana. It was so strong that a Republican rose to speak passionately against the bill, chastising the sponsor.

The drag ban dies in Montana, flips 10+ Republican votes!

This is the power of representation.

More wins! We just killed an"abortion trafficking" bill, which would have created a new crime targeting any woman traveling through Montana while seeking abortion care.

Dems are fighting like hell over here in Montana. We're seeing a ton of bad bills, so it's always good when we get a win.
Today in House Judiciary, we killed 3 bad bills:

- a bill opening up our prison pre-release contracts to for-profit companies

- a bill banning mifepristone due to "effects on water supply"

- a bill lowering the standard of "expert witnesses" in court

I'm reveling in some solid victories today.
