Boy howdy Alzheimer's is a vicious and horrific disease, and honestly at this point I'm not sure I would inflict it on my worst enemy. Mainly because it's not just the patient - it's their whole family, their friends... and what it does is chip away at everything good about the person.

Have to say that I'm happy not to have to be traveling westbound on I-90 until next week....
UPDATE: I-90 remains closed WB at Exit 80 near Cle Elum after an oversized load struck the overpass. Travelers are being detoured at Exit 80 via the off- and on-ramp. Crews will be out today to assess the damage. The Washington State Patrol is investigating. No estimate for a reopening.

Some days I honestly feel like I’m not smart enough to handle the times we’re living through. Like I don’t have the processing power to handle the daily horrors and come out on the other side with a clear actionable plan on what to do. I’m trying but my brain keeps outputting “does not compute”.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
