Hello new friends! I'm Harm Cox and I'm a transmasc culture writer that loves horror movies and porn.

I just got laid off from my last reliable gig so your subscriptions and donations mean the world to me. If you want to support trans folks, here I am 🙏
Apocalypse From Now On
The apocalypse is new to some of you. For queer people, it's been here a while. Who wants to die for art?

JOHN WICK 4 rules because it dedicates zero time to explaining things and three hours to the coolest shit you've ever seen in your life, which is the correct ratio for an action movie sequel

As screenwriter of the Labubu movie I want to clear up some misconceptions. Yes, technically they do eat human flesh, but only necrotic tissue around wounds. Doctors use them to clean up injuries and promote positive health outcomes. Labubus are humanity’s allies, except for evil Labubus of course

Because I am a middle-aged transsexual, I have no patience for people who don't do things because they are scary or hard. That includes elected Democrats.

Aw, you're scared of getting yelled at? You babies would not survive five minutes as a trans person on the red line. Suck it up and go canvas.

trans friends: does anyone know of a simple way to check what laws are CURRENTLY IN EFFECT (not proposed, not under injunction) in different states? I'm trying to figure out where I am allowed to piss when I travel places, and a centralized resource would be helpful.

I wish the boomer method of applying for jobs actually worked, because all I want from a job is 15-20 hours of reasonably paced work where I get to experience new things, help people and then go home. In return I will show up on time and do a good job every shift. How can I explain that in a resume?

it is very funny that alamo drafthouse is pivoting from their famously beloved "no phones in the theater" policy to "phones all the time hell yeah" and the explainer is provided by Aziz Ansari

I have no regrets about taking rich people's money and dedicating two years to my craft. I spent their ugly bloody cash on porn and drugs and now I live in Chicago. That rules for me. I would recommend an MFA if you can work the same grift. If you can't, just work Submittable and go to open mics.
I picked my MFA program because they offered me a full ride and a move to Chicago. I gained nothing from it professionally; turns out I'm still a fat, cantankerous trans dude made of box office poison. It made me fierce about my work and disgusted by publishing. If that sounds good, go for it.
Should you get a writing degree? Absolutely, if you'd like to study the craft, find community, and earn a degree that will show others you take yourself seriously, which will in turn make them take you seriously, but it's also a scam in a clout pyramid scheme!

Today my physical therapist asked if i was hungover and i told him i don't drink; he asked if i didn't like booze. I was like "no, i like booze too much and now i have to go to meetings about it."

That joke makes people uncomfortable, but i still think it's funny. Ah well.
I am pretty desperate to figure out where the dudes are hanging out, especially now that i don't use IG anymore and I'm too sober to be fun at a bar. I do not want to go to TMAC because it's indoors and they don't mask. Trying to widen my scope here.

I think i remembered seeing something about a transmasc poker night in Chicago on here; if you know anything about that, can you tell me about it?

I'm learning to walk again after i broke a rib last year. Every time i get down on myself for not being productive, i like to remind myself that i literally need to learn to walk before i can run.

Ive been in intensive therapy for various chronic shit since June of last year. I'm tired, y'all.
