The fact that Trump is hurting his own people so badly would be an interesting story if the press decided to tell it.
Seven of the 10 states most dependant on federal $ are red , and 7 of the 10 least dependent are blue. Biden's green jobs projects are disproportionately in red districts. Rural areas rely much more on federal funding than urban. Rural healthcare doesn't exist without Medicaid and CHIP.

Here's a fact most Americans don't know:
The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is the largest purchaser of wine by dollar value in the world.
The LCBO has shut the flow of all American beer, wine, spirits.
We will drink "Freedom wines" from our allies and beer from our communities.

I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad.

There’s not.

Everyone seems to be framing Trump's freeze on federal grants as a Constitutional fight over powers of the purse & whether presidents can disregard Congressional appropriations. It is that. But also at stake is the fundamental validity of government contracts! I see much less discussion on this... 🧵

Did Trump just say he will put tariffs on medications?

Americans already pay more for prescription medications than anywhere in the world - and he wants us to pay EVEN MORE?

Americans want cheaper drug prices. Trump is giving us higher taxes instead.
Trump says he's also going to put tariffs on pharmaceuticals
