Take back the narrative of who is a "patriot" and who "loves America." Ya, maybe it's symbolism, but it's hard for paid propagandists to label as enemy of the nation when U.S. flags are in the camera's view.
If you're going to a No Kings march instead of a witty sign that might elicit a chuckle maybe you could just carry an American flag

Tennessee brings back state-sponsored segregation academies ...
As the data shows @GovBillLee’s vouchers are going to wealthy families with kids already in private (Christian) schools, Lee wants to expand it and hand out more money to wealthy families: www.tennessean.com/story/news/p...

The basic problem with social media platforms is the same basic problem with all forms of publishing tbh. If you want to do it at scale, you have to have the kind of resources that only the worst people in the world have.

The underlying assumption that journalists are "trained" now to not only see through BS but also artfully expose it is the problem. That's not the OP's fault because it's a general assumption. Journalism may exist, but quality reporting is mostly dead. There's a difference between those two things.
I’m supposed to believe both that trained and paid journalists couldn’t see through Project 2025 spin but also they’re the people best positioned to tell me what’s happening and how I should feel. Why? They failed at their jobs by their own admission.

Do you ever think about the fact that Wikipedia is the last good major website on the internet? You aren't bombarded with ads. It doesn't try to push video on you, and it doesn't redirect you to a scam site.

This is a huge short-term problem but also may be a long-term catastrophe for those of us seeking to maintain a democratic constitutional republic. While those seeking to preserve the Republic shouldn't give up on TikTok & IG, there must be more presence on YouTube & SnapChat to reach young voters
The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

Disney bowed to the regime & got bit by its customers. It's hard to dismiss the timing of bringing Kimmel back w/ Disney+ announcing a price increase. But they did bring him back. The fight now is against Nexstar and Sinclair. Turn off their stations, including Nexstar's @newsnation.bsky.social

The nation is awash in nihilistic alienated young white men. I can tell you first hand. And many of them have access to arsenals you wouldn't believe. Where are they? Usually living with their parents or parent. They spend nearly all of their free time online. Time for parents to talk w/ their kids.
ICE shooter Joshua Jahn's politics aren't what's being reported, three longtime former friends tell me.

Nexstar is playing a dangerous game w/ the value of its TV stations. I suspect it's in for a rude awakening if it acquires Tegna & gets Denver's KUSA 9News & then tries this nonsense or makes demands of the newsroom to pump out right-wing propaganda. Colorado viewers aren't going to like that.
NEW: Jimmy Kimmel returned to late night with a monologue on American free speech, in defiance of pressure from President Trump, the head of the Federal Communications Commission, and local broadcast companies Sinclair and Nexstar (which is seeking to acquire 9NEWS/TEGNA)
September 24, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Nexstar also deserves to be turned off. Here is a map of Nexstar stations.

Also, Nexstar owns @newsnation.bsky.social. Turn off NewsNation, it is run by corporate leadership driving an agenda. It is not "unbiased."
And Nexstar has the same thing.

You may be watching a Sinclair station and not even realizing it. Check the map. Turn off Sinclair.
Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

Turn off Nexstar - the largest owner of TV stations in the U.S. They're dependent on viewership ratings for ad $. And this is all about Nexstar needing FCC approval of a merger w/ Tegna, which will give them more media control. Would like to see shareholder activism & FCC complaints.
Nexstar joins Sinclair in preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! when ABC brings it back to air.
September 23, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Sinclair is the #2 owner of TV stations in the U.S. For years it has broadcast propaganda on its news shows, just flat-out false stuff. Back in 2014, I stopped advertising my business on the local ABC affiliate in SW VA. when Sinclair bought the station. I have refused since. Just turn off Sinclair.
This just in from Sinclair: "Beginning Tuesday night Sinclair will be preempting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show's potential return."
September 22, 2025 at 11:28 PM
I suppose a relevant question is whether Sinclair & Nexstar are bluffing or they really are ready to devalue their TV properties by refusing ABC programming and/ or ABC affiliation.
Bob Iger has a real chance to be a hero here and say “Fuck you. Make me.” to the FCC by reinstating Kimmel.

I’ll sign back up for Disney+ if he does. Until then, keep canceling your subscriptions!
John Oliver says Bob Iger should use "the only phrase that can genuinely make a weak bully go away. And that is, 'fuck you, make me.'" youtu.be/ohPToBog_-g?...

Is Scripps the last national news agency not to bend the knee, and the last one trying to engage in journalism and not propaganda?

Maybe reasonable people should go buy some Scripps stock on NASDAQ, as well as boost viewership.

Let's take it further. Boycott Disney. Boycott ABC. Don't watch Nexstar stations. Don't watch Sinclair stations. If Disney wants to bend knee to fascism, they don't deserve your family vacation to Fla. or Calif., or a cruise. Use the tools that you have. Don't give them money, clicks, or views.
Upset about Kimmel? upset about Trump and the FCC attacking freedom of speech? Do something.

Look at your 401k. Move any money that's invested in Nexstar out (usually a mutual fund). Tank the Stock. It's trading at $208/share today. Let's get it to $100/share.

Marvel movies need to shutdown. Ditto the sitcoms.

Collective boycott.

Decent people need to change the words we use. "Christian" Nationalists derive power & legitimacy by using the word "Christian", even though nothing about them is Christian. Stop using "Christian" to describe them. Rather, say religious nationalists, theocratic nationalists, or religious fanatics.

Nice thought. But how quick we forget about Colo. being called the "Hate State" due to A2, & white supremacist riots & violence in Denver in the 90s. It's not like it's completely disappered. Police say the kid who committed the school shooting last week in Colo. was radicalized by white supremacy.
