Animal Well soundtrack (2025) by Billy Basso in Transparent Purple, limited to 500 copies. Each side of the record has parallel grooves and will play 1 of 2 track lists at random. Standout track for me is Intro, perfectly sets the tone. Adore the swirl effect this pressing has.

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. We're in engineering with control panels and engineering stuff on the walls and whatnot. We see Picard and Worf, but Picard is a borgs! His whole body is worn in black spandex or rubber or something borgy and he looks to have been transformed into half robot half human, with tubes and wires and mechanics attached to his body and head, including half his face being covered in tech and wires, Phantom of the Opera style. (SING FOR ME, MY ANGEL CHRISTINE!) Picard's whole arm is also now a long metally tool doohickey with sharp smaller tools doohickeys sticking out of the end, and he's holding it to Worf threateningly. Worf, in gold uniform, stands like he's being held at gunpoint. Closed caption reads, "We only wish to raise quality of life." (Editors note, it goes without saying but FUCK ICE)

Bloodless (2025) by Samia in Blood-Red, limited to 1000 copies. Standout track for me is Dare: “I can’t stop crossing the line and you can’t stop trying to keep me on the other side.” Super clean pressing, the album’s production suits the vinyl format so well.

First episode of Starfleet Academy, solid 3/5. Hated the Athena’s bridge, lots of cheesy dialogue, abhorred the on the nose usage of San Francisco by Scott McKenzie, amongst other things. I adored Sam, eager to see more of Tatiana Maslany, loved seeing Picardo as The Doctor again!

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. We're on the USS Enterprise D, and see the bridge from the POV of the front looking back at all the officers and work stations. (POV stands for "point of view" but I like to abbreviate to save characters and space and also time because life is moving so fast these days if you can shave off even a little bit by abbreviation then you're just that much further ahead) Ok, so we see Data and Geordi up front at their navigation and science stations sitting, in the back are some extras and Tasha Yar and Worf and betweeb them there's Picard in the captain chair and Troi is next to him. They're regarding one another and Troi is smiling. Closed caption reads, "Sleigh ride?"
