At least 30 people have died in ICE custody in less than a year under the current administration. With the massive increase in detainments, conditions inside ICE detention facilities will only get worse, leading to even more deaths.

Bari Weiss is the logical endpoint of corporate media. This is what happens when people who hate journalism are in charge of it. The only way journalism works is when it’s independent from the power it’s supposed to hold to account, which means ownership can’t have anything to do with those in power

When Jamal Khashoggi was killed , all the TV networks were chasing me down to have me on to talk about Trump, Mohammed Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia and the murder.

Now that MBS is back in town and being wined and dined by Trump, Musk, Bezos and other tech billionaires?

I have not had one TV invite.

Senate Democrats are offering a path forward: Reopen the government and extend the health care tax credits for 1 year to ensure millions of Americans don’t see their premiums double in January.

The President & Congressional Republicans need to come to the table to negotiate.

Senate Dems, do not cave. Ensuring healthcare premiums don’t surge is an 80-20 issue. They want to gut the ACA because their disdain for Obama far outweighs their concern for anyone’s health.

I can’t believe they called prop 50 the moment polls closed. That tells you something. Most of these races were called within 45 minutes. It’s a BLOWOUT, y’all. THAT is what we call a MANDATE.

It’s historic and very telling that New Jersey and Virginia both elected women to the office of Governor for the FIRST time-We need to elect a lot more women to top positions in Washington and throughout the country-I believe it’s time for women to lead. Especially as President.🇺🇸

SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.

that isn’t why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral imperative to feed the hungry.

but it’s why even a growth-oriented ghoul shouldn’t oppose it.

I am completely awestruck by the ease with which Mike Johnson lies on a daily basis. I'll never understand how such a transparently fraudulent "man of faith" can live with themselves. Life is too short to be that phony.
