In Mario Kart Wii, the dancing Piantas near the escalators in Coconut Mall actually serve a purpose. They will turn towards the escalator currently moving upward, and face forward while the escalators change directions, providing an additional visual indicator from afar.

At this point, I don't think the pendulum will swing back in the direction of common sense until people suffer brutally. Without the Great Depression, there's no New Deal. But even so, those hit first will inevitably be marginalized, so acceleration is not a solution I can endorse. Yeah, it's bad.

Thinking about Hi Fi Rush now that it's been 2 years. Incredible game, absolutely unbelievable. Right up there with DMC3/5 and Jet Set/Space Channel at the absolute peak of the genres. Just unbelievable. I gotta go back to it. I should just stream it on the hardest difficulty.
