this is going to websites but inside a platform. what use are the platforms? (this is not an endorsement of "platforms")
my maybe controversial proposal is that we kill the feed on a lot of platforms. want to see if an account has posted something new? you have to go visit the account to check.

i think i hallucinated someone having written and promoted an article here within the last month about their theory that gladiator armor looked like that in order to increase the possibility of spectacle for the audience but man i wish i could read that

i think that when the wrong people take credit for good things, it lets them use those good things to argue for their bad ideas. so i think "who gets credit?" is a salient question about political power building rather than "but i want MY name on the byline! 🥺😡"

In short, such a broad sweeping determination by the federal government that everyone with gender dysphoria is "mentally incompetent" by virtue of being "mentally ill" would be a means of effectively purging trans people from society writ large and starting the process of mass institutionalization.
