As someone who works with a lot of NZ charities I can absolutely guarantee you that if we subjected tax-dodging child-exploiting vermin to even a tenth of the annual financial and operational oversight as your average charity, they’d already be in jail.
Many of these charities only exist because people like Mowbray are greedy arseholes, who became rich by exploiting others and then, instead of supporting fair taxes, they donate to hard right political parties like ACT #nzpol

Eggcellent news from Aotearoa New Zealand - a North Island Kiwi chick has hatched on Waiheke island following the introduction of 10 kiwi to the most isolated side of the island in May. Trail cam footage shows that the chick has been exploring close to the nest site.

Save the Kiwi says it's a "huge milestone" for the kiwi who were released on the most isolated side of the island earlier this year.

OPINION: The Government’s move to make it harder for some victims of abuse in state care to access compensation is disgusting.

In an attempt to lift the mood of NZ BSky, here are the 64 nominations for my "NZ's Most Underwhelming Tourist Attraction" poll back in 2021. They will all be on one thread but may take me a while to complete.

For each of the 64, their number is their eventual placing in the poll (top 32 only)

I've always been proud / smug about the depoliticised nature of voter enrolment and general access to voting here in Aotearoa - compared to how it is run in the US. This is deeply concerning from a RW government.

If they’re not able to maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour, perhaps it’s time to reduce the number of men participating in local body politics. I’m no expert but it seems like they get too emotional and start behaving inappropriately under pressure. We need steadier leadership.

There’s a Hindi phrase (usually said by dads) for when someone leaves the lights on that translates to “Is it Diwali again?” A French version is “We’re not in Versailles!” But my favourite version, by far, is the Serbian “Was your grandpa Nikola Tesla?”

I'm officially a nominee for the upcoming InternetNZ board elections.

If you were a member before the start of April you'll be able to cast your vote (for me?) from July 14.

This is unlikely to be the last you hear from me about this 😁
