Sorry but "a brutal time for young men" is absurd. People saying "try to be nicer and respect everyone" over the past 20 years is not why a kid named Big Balls is in charge of Social Security.

Also maybe ask some non-white males how long they've been told "YOU'RE BAD". It ain't new.
It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."

Absolutely perfect time for right wing monsters to sweep in with shitty answers.

the right's power has been built off the back of the willingness to kill and to threaten murder. this goes back decades, the crusade to repeal Roe had a legislative arm and it had a bunch of dudes willing to shoot or bomb clinics.

Meanwhile leftists go to prison for tweeting aggressively.
MAGA and Trump _will_ get someone killed. This is why he names relatives and spouses of the direct targets.

And he will always have plausible deniability of any involvement. You know, like his best buddy who has people fall out of windows.

It's how he keeps his GOP stooges in Congress in line.
Really ominous. Earlier this month someone threatened a sister of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett with a mail bomb. The escalating verbal attacks by Trump and his GOP allies against judges whose rulings they dislike are going to lead to violence www.nytimes.com/2025/03/19/u...

The United States government under Trump by all accounts is shipping these people into indefinite involuntary servitude in El Salvador without even the pretense of any judicial process, much less duly convicting them of a crime. It’s an enslaving operation.

Defending disappearing people while refusing to say “ass” is such a great summary of Johnson
Reporter: What crime did Mahmoud Khalil commit to warrant his arrest and threatened deportation?

Mike Johnson: We are going to arrest your tail and send you home where you belong. This is just getting started. I appreciate free speech, I used to defend it in courts. This is far beyond the pale.

Yes. If DHS can barge in, say your visa was revoked, be told you have a green card, say it's revoked too, and then disappear you so that neither your lawyer nor your family can find you, then all the guardrails are gone. There is no policy, practice, or law protecting anyone.

i am once again saying that if you allow polling to define rights, you don't have any real rights at all
the problem with the "trans sports participation is a loser / 80-20 issue" framing is that it ignores how it got that way. it didn't just happen out of nowhere. It's been a 5+ year campaign by Republicans to make it an 80-20 issue, and noone fought back.
