Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

Leaders of the so-called “pro-life, small government” party who relentlessly warn of tyranny are standing by as masked agents roam the country and brutalize its people. The hypocrisy isn’t surprising — but it’s staggering. Remember this.

Trump’s racist video mocking the Obamas is an effort to divide and conquer. He’s betting there are enough white supremacists out there who approve. We the people can unite against it and prove him wrong. Make America decent again.

A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

Yes, Donald Trump doesn't deserve to have his name on anything—except maybe a landfill or indictment—but think of how *delightful* it is going to be to crowbar his name off of buildings before bulldozing his tacky architecture.

Democracy requires lots of coffee, cookies, and folding chairs. It happens in rooms where people can ask questions and be heard. That’s why I’ve been holding open town halls across NY-23 and attending them. No filters, no off-limits questions, just honest conversation.

You may recall that in January of 2025, artist Ann Telnaes announced that she had quit The Washington Post after editors killed a cartoon that depicted owner Jeff Bezos, among others, genuflecting to Trump.

This cartoon feels even more relevant this week.

I just don't accept "we don't have the votes" anymore. Get creative. Just do things. Dems had all the power in 2020 and they barely passed Biden IRA which was already a compromise. They all need to go. If they want to stay they need to find their courage.

Easy to agree with Elie here. I don't think an "elections czar" will do it, but every state-level official who cares about democracy - and a battalion of lawyers - better buckle up for what's coming.
Trump and the Republicans are trying to rig the election. That's not being a "doomer," that's acknowledging reality.
Democrats need a coordinated, national response to these coordinated, national attacks. We need an "Elections Czar"
