Ladies, gents, and corporeal souls I would like to announce that Mr. Persimmon Fig has finally pooped after around 36 hours. And feels loads better. His hydration has come way up and he’s being very much more active and kitten-ish. He’s not spicy despite finding him outside and is SO SWEET.

The Ukraine Food Train 🚂 was in full force for Thanksgiving in Kharkiv today—despite Russian bombs overnight. My friend Micha who oversees the Kharkiv Railway and Governor Syniehubov joined to help carve hundreds of turkeys. Love this tradition we started 2 years ago! 🦃

Really important to stress that the Crown Jewels of the US higher education system were never the Ivies or elite SLACs (other countries have equivalents of these) but the well-funded, large, cheap, and excellently staffed public state university systems bringing high quality education to the masses.
One of the bragging rights that the US ed system had in the 20th century is that we didn't have education tracks. Essentially, any kid could go to a CC or state school & major in whatever they wanted to (obviously an oversimplification). I fear this aspect of the American dream is dying.

What am I saying? You bunch of goobers have DEFINITELY looked at them.
But have you noticed they have an extra "bend" in them you don't have? Like where your calves are, they have an ANGLE.
That's because their HEEL is halfway up their leg.
