The ITA requires your whereabouts at all times in order to drop in and test you without notice. Penny and Team Canada said in a statement it’s an administrative error. So this seems like a complex legal thing so accepting the ban will help it get resolved faster.
Penny Oleksiak will be ineligible to compete until July 14, 2027, after accepting a ban from the International Testing Agency.
The violation cites Oleksiak committing three whereabouts failures within a 12-month span, resulting in an anti-doping rule violation.
