Bloomberg's X account has more than 800k followers. Their most recent post was shared five times

It would basically come at close to zero cost for outlets like Bloomberg to delete their X accounts, and "We don't want to use a non-consensual deepfake abuse app as a comms platform" is a fine excuse

Yep, I've got a History degree and the lessons from it are far less predictive of what will happen in contemporary society than Gender Studies and Critical Race Theory, which are like that sports almanac in Back to the Future II.
kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life

my 75yo mother told me last night that she’s planning to delete Instagram and Facebook because she’s sick of not being able to tell what’s AI and what’s not, and I genuinely don’t think tech companies have reckoned with this kind of move as an actual possibility

Food was scarce, and the government of the quote-unquote United Kingdom looked for alternatives. 1/

I grew up mostly without TV, but even so, I knew the value of Public Broadcasting. On this dreary, stupid day when the Corporation for Public Broadcasting has been dissolved, I shout out some of its heroes — people who made us a little more conscious.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Why wasn't congressional authorization necessary?

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

Reminder that almost a quarter century ago, Schumer voted for the Hague Invasion Act, declaring that the US would militarily invade the Hague were it ever to be prosecuted by ICC for war crimes.

Biden did too, it was an overwhelmingly bipartisan agreement to be unaccountable to international law.
Look at how many names on this list are *still in power*, still kicking around. They weren't exactly young then, but now a lot of them are much much richer.

I've been trying to come up with a good way to word this but I think there really isn't anything to do other than say it:

I've had many AI nudes and sexually suggestive images generated of me and sent to me via burner emails. Started last year, kept going through today.

This is where we are.

Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

If any random person were going around doing that shit, you wouldn't base almost half the US stock market on them. You'd have em arrested.
