Absolutely devastated. James Ransone was one of the most underrated character actors working, and I was always excited to see him in bigger and greater stuff.

He's probably going to be remembered most for THAT scene from "It Chapter Two", but he deserves to be remembered for so much more. RIP.

My brain this entire week after watching all three Avatar movies and finally admitting I love these silly yet beautiful movies:
I’m geeked up on that pure Na’vi yayo while an eight foot tall goth cat gf cuts me. I’m high off that Pandora Payakan talking directly to the ancestors. We sipping pure Tulkun brain goo. That Mangkwan coochie got me waging war on Eywa. I’ve died. I will die again. This shit ain’t nothing to me man.

Devastated about the death of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele. There's a lot of his filmography that I've regretfully yet to see, but those I have are some of the most iconic films of all time. As tragic as his passing is, it's fitting his directing career was bookended by Spinal Tap. Rest in peace.

A little off-book, but in honour of the late Udo Kier:

Hey, Jimmy? I'm down for "Aliens, but with dinosaurs".

Better yet, if basing it on an exisiting IP would make it an easier sell, there's a certain cult classic video game that already fits the bill...

This Trans Day of Remembrance, in addition to remembering those we’ve lost, let us also remember those who are still here but are struggling to be so.

Friends and allies, please: care for the trans folks in your lives. Check in on them, let them know they matter, and support them however you can.

Just got back from tonight's mystery screening, which turned out to be for the new Running Man adaptation. Can't fit my sentiment into a skeet, so here's a screenshot from my Letterboxd review:

Remember when Paramount fired Melissa Barrera from Scream 7 for speaking out about Gaza, we were all angry for a week, but now everyone seems hyped about Scream 7 coming out soon?

Yeah, Paramount think they can get away with it again on a larger scale.

Fuck them. Don't see Scream 7.
Under new head of Paramount David Ellison, the studio has drawn up a list of actors who opposed the Gaza genocide and will not allow them to appear in its films and TV shows.

Does this sound familiar?

Also, "Ellison is reportedly aiming to take over Warner Bros. next."

It sure looks like the likes of Javier Bardem, Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Mark Ruffalo won’t be making movies for Paramount in the foreseeable future.

And just like that, the hearts of every bisexual and pansexual in the world fluttered and rejoiced!

Also, yay to Radio Silence resurrecting another 90s horror franchise!

Also also, defo feels like that mummy movie from Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin out next year will HAVE to change title now.

I could listen to Michael Shannon ramble all day. He's like a loveable but grumpy uncle, always with an interesting story to tell and just realising profound things about them in the moment of retelling them. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UwF...

As a Brit that has watched this play out here from the moment I started transitioning in 2017...yep, this all checks out.

My American pals, don't make the same mistake our "left" politicians have: don't sacrifice your allies. Whatever short-term gains you think you'll make, they WON'T be worth it.
This, from @erininthemorning.com's latest piece about Gavin Newsom helps explain why Newsom-loving libs' "erm, then enjoy Trump again!!!" stuff doesn't work on trans people who've been paying attention. www.erininthemorning.com/p/why-transg...

Saw @realgdt.bsky.social's FRANKENSTEIN today with a few pals and absolutely adored it. Might be my fave interpretation of the story yet. Oscar Isaac is great, but Jacob Elordi steals the show. I was tearing up towards the end, but the person sat behind me was bawling the whole third act! ★★★★½
