A lot of people don't understand how the 2A supporters are so okay with this, and the answer (as brilliantly explained by Carol Anderson in her book "The Second" ) is that the 2A has never been about protecting everyone's right to bear arms, but rather protecting white people's property USING guns.

This is such an important take. The federal government is making zero effort to reassure or make a pretense to adjusting tactics. They're getting the political climate 100% wrong. If they want civil war they're doing a good job. Support iimmigrant neighbors. Stand up for our country. Fuck Trump.
They are telling us in unequivocal terms that if you show solidarity with immigrants who are in the literal crosshairs of Trump/MAGA, you're risking a death sentence.
