Having only ever lived in Ohio and Maine, it didn’t occur to me until just now that there are so many states without a single lighthouse. Kansas must be littered with crashed boats on its shores.

Coining “Sibera’s Garden” as the opposite of the inane roko’s basilisk. Where some future AI finds an enlightenment before us and then proceeds to kindly make us a really nice mug of cocoa on a nice day out on a pretty patch of earth and we realise that.. fuck… we could have had that all along.

Got a new answering machine. The Western Electric model 1-B from 1955. Still had the original outgoing announcement. Sadly no incoming messages though. Its all tube and has a tone wheel like a B-3 organ for the beep.
