My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

Trump is sending troops from former confederate states to Blue cities. @mikepod.bsky.social argues the confederacy project never died, instead moderating its language and tying itself to a more palatable set of issues. It’s gradually regained power and taken control of the Republican Party.
Not going to stop thinking about the comment that Trump is sending Confederate armies to occupy Northern cities.

How much more is there to say?

That’s not a “distraction.” It’s what the white supremacists who tried to secede have wanted for over a century. It’s not a distraction to them at all.
