It’s an absolute shame that DC fired Gretchen Felker- Martin for exercising free speech and then @bsky.app suspended her account. Every writer here should be decrying this because we have to stand up for each other! This is ridiculous.

My understanding is that NY, like my own Illinois are in this place because the hospitals have stopped giving care and the state authorities have yet to do anything about it. So it’s been rolled back in practice but not legally.
new york passed a law in 2023 protecting gender affirming care, and specifically includes protections for treatment of minors. is there anything happening legislatively to suggest it’s in danger of being rolled back?
This shit sucks man. Medically proven and effective treatment that would save trans youth a lifetime of pain and discomfort in their own bodies thrown in the trash because our country enables the most evil people imaginable.

Unless we get admin officials or legislation targeting trans people referencing the shooter, I do not feel a need to cover the identity of a monstrous murderer. The same people who hated us before hate us today and will tomorrow.
