It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

personally I tend to think ideology is a little pointless, why plot out a grand unified vision of your wish list, reality will get in the way and it'll never look just like you thought. Basically this was the entire logic fo neoliberalism and globalization - yes lots of job destruction, but prices falling on all kinds of goods and new jobs in new areas. It was taken as gospel that all of it was a net benefit, but that's a bit harder argument to make these days.

A good example of why direct inflation adjustment of this sort is more deceptive than clarifying when applied over very long stretches of time where consumption patterns are very different.

Basic foods (bread/grain) probably devours a third of Cratchet's income, but not the modern worker's.
