I think this is one of the more important observations of the era: people who are 100% fine with genocide are absolutely prepared to do anything at all, if it’s expedient.

There’s also this fucking trope of “the dumb public want immediate results”. Firstly, if your entire campaign is based on the promise of change, that’s on you. That this is happening makes me so sad because I know I never could have gotten through University if I had to write everything in class on paper in person. I was simply too disabled. Trying to stop AI usage in classrooms (understandable) is going to disproportionately impact disabled students.
